Support for insights that strengthen informed action

What it involves

We identify and analyse trends, challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI, data and rights-focused activism. Our research combines direct experience working with civil society with in-depth critical analysis, producing evidence that strengthens informed action at every level.
Each piece of research is co-designed with partners around their specific questions, building their agency to use evidence in their own work. We use a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods, grounded in participatory, community-centered practice that brings together analytical depth and lived experience.

Who it is for

Organisations with stable or dedicated funding seeking evidence that strengthens their agency, strategy, and practice. Also, for funders looking to understand how technology and AI are shaping agency among grantees or explore emerging technology affects communities' agency through an ethics and rights based lens.

What we can produce

  • Landscape analyses and technology trend reports

  • Case studies from community and civic practice

  • Participatory research that strengthens community agency

  • Evidence briefs for advocacy and policy influence

  • Learning reviews and reflective practice documentation

  • Comparative studies across geographies and contexts

  • Mapping exercises that surface gaps in agency and access

  • Technology evaluations from a rights based perspective
